Pig gorges 3-year-old child

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) In a bizzare incident, a 3-year-old child was gorged to death by a stray pig in Samaypur Badli area of North-West Delhi this afternoon.

The child, Ajay, was playing in the backyard of his home at Nangli-Pune Extension in Samaypur Badli at about 1230 hrs when he was reportedly dragged by a swine and eaten, according to sources.

The child's mother later said Ajay went out to play in the afternoon while she was cooking food but after sometime when he did not return she went to look for him and saw the pig eating her son.

When she tried to shoo him off the pig headed towards her ferociously which led her to call for help.

Later, the pig which belonged to a sweeper of the area, was caught and sent to the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, Raja Garden.

Son of a labourer, Ajay was the youngest of the three siblings in the family.

The pig's owner Gaje Singh is absconding.
