One killed, another injured as van falls into gorge in Kullu

Kullu, Nov 28 (UNI) One person was killed and another seriously injured after their van fell into a gorge in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh early today, police sources said.

The accident occurred at Kharasu, about 11 kms from here, on the Kullu-Manali National Highway 21, while it was on its way to Manali from Kullu at about 0930 hrs.

The sources said the injured person has been admitted to a government hospital here where doctors described his condition critical.

While the identity of the injured person was not known, the deceased has been identified as Lobjang, 29, a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, the sources said.

The cause of the accident was not yet known and sources said a case has been registered and investigations were on.
