One HNLC militant surrendered

Shillong, Nov 28 (UNI) A Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) militant surrendered to police here today.

Trained in Bangladesh since 2001, Khonglah escaped from the HNLC training camp in Bangladesh and sneaked into India before surrendering to the state police.

However, police said the militant did not deposit any arms or ammunition.

Meanwhile, police were interrogating the surrendered militant.
