Nikkei opens down 1.11 percent, techs sold
TOKYO, Nov 28 (Reuters) Japan's Nikkei stock average was down 1.11 percent after the open on Tuesday as investors sold chip equipment makers Tokyo Electron Ltd. and Advantest Corp.
following a tumble in U.S. tech stocks.
As of 0002 GMT, the Nikkei was down 176.64 points at 15,708.74, reversing course after rallying 0.96 percent in the previous session. The broader TOPIX index was down 1.03 percent at 1,537.06.
