Municipal employees stage demo to press demands

Puducherry, Nov 28 (UNI) Members of the Ozhukarai Munucipality garbage cleaning workers joint action committee today observed a dharna in front of the chief secretariate here to press their demands.

Covering their eyes with black cloth, the protestors raised slogans, demanding time-bound promotion, regularisation of service of temporary government staff workers and provision of the wages, which they lost at the time of regularisation with retrospective effect, among other things.
