Mizo farmers demanded inquiry into fund misappropriation

Aizawl, Nov 28 (UNI) The Mizoram Cultivators and Labour Union (MICLUN) today demanded the state government to hold an enquiry over the misappropriation of funds meant for the farmers.

The MICLUN in a statement here appealed to the government to look into the problems of the farmers.

''We are conducting an investigation ourself to find out the culprit involved in the case,''the statement said.

The MICLUN also urged the government to pay the farmers on purchase of the passion fruit, as they were passing through severe financial crisis.
