MAN Industries may get orders from Indo-Iran pipeline project
Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) MAN Industries is hopeful of bagging orders once the work on the proposed Indo-Iran gas pipeline project begins.
Talking to UNI on the sidelines of a function here today, M S Arora, COO of MAN Industries said ''We're the regular suppliers of large diameter steel pipes to the country for five years now and hence we are quite hopeful of bagging orders from the proposed Indo-Iran gas pipeline project''.
The large diameter steel pipes are used in the transmission of gas from one place to another.
So far MAN Industries has got orders worth 200 million USD from its ongoing works in Iran. Asked about his experience while doing business in Iran, Mr Arora said ''We've not faced any problem while getting our payments from the Iranian authorities''.
Talking about the proposed Indo-Iran gas pipeline project, he said ''We are in constant touch with the working group under the patronage of GAIL (Gas Authority of India Ltd) in this connection''.
Quite a few workshops on the subject have already been successfully held in New Delhi as yet and if all goes well the work may begin in 2008-09, he hoped.
