Lt Governor's Invitational football tournament begins on Dec 5

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Tata Football Academy (TFA), Jamshedpur will take on Punjab Police, Jalandhar on December 5 in the inaugural match of the 3rd Lt. Governor's Invitational football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here.

Eight teams -- TFA, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Vasco Sports Club, Goa, Calcutta Customs Club, Eastern Railway Sports Club, Punjab Police, Jalandhar, Hindustan Football Club, Delhi, and Indian National Football Club, Delhi -- will take part in the tournament organised by Delhi Development Authority in association with Delhi Soccer Association.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash award of Rs 2 lakhs, Rs 1 lakh by the runners-up team and Rs 50,000 each by the two semi-finalists. Four best players of the tournament will also pocket a cash prize of Rs 5000 each.

The final of the tournament will be played on December 15.
