Jail term for arms supplier
Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) A local court today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to a person in connection with a case related to supply of firearms to an extremist outfit.
First Class Judicial Magistrate of Patna Shahab Kaushar found Pravesh Kumar alias Vijayji, a resident of Kasma police station of Aurangabad district, guilty under various sections of the Arms Act.
The convict was also slapped with a fine of Rs 2000 by the court.
According to the charges, 345 live cartridges and 70 chargers were recovered from the possession of the convict by the special task force of Bihar police from a house at Gandhi Maidan police station here on October 4, 2004.
