Irina Brar takes lead in DLF Pro-Golf

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Irina Brar shot a superb 5-over the card to take the lead on the first day of the third leg of the DLF Women's Professional Golf Tour here today.

Following Brar at the Golden Greens Golf&Country Club were Parneeta Garewal with seven over and Shalini Malik in the third position. Shalini handled the front nine expertly but shot a dismal 8-over to turn in a score of 9-over.

Nonita Quershi, who has resumed competitive Golf after a long sabbatical, had a strange round, dropping 11 strokes in three holes to return a card of 15-over.

Vaishavi Sinha an amateur who has been selected for the Asian Games also played along with the professionals.

The first leg was played at the Qutab Golf Course followed by the second at Jaypee greens both won by Simi Mehra Guffin who unfortunately could not participate in the current fixture but would be playing the fourth leg to be held in Poona next month.
