ICI Paints presents colour trends for 2007
Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) The Colours futures team of ICI paints has forecast four key themes while unveiling the colour trends for 2007 in the basic colour families of Reds, Yellows, Oranges, Greens, Blues and Violets.
Talking to newspersons here, Ms Nicki Barton, Global Marketing Manager of ICI, UK, said the colour futures 2007 not only helped to keep one abreast with the international colour trends, but also provided colour predictions by colour families and lifestyle themes.
The themes for the next year were colour therapy, mix and match, flavours of home and connection point.
While colour palette in colour therapy mixed pure neutrals with gels such as almost fluorescent shades of chemical yellows, electric greens, laboratory pink and liquid crystal blues, mix and match was an eclectic mix of pinks, reds and greens that were neither too formal nor too frivolous.
Vibrant vegetable greens, spicy oranges, wine berry reds and fruity yellows accented by deep and intense tones of chocolate form the flavours of Home and connection point palette consisted of true architectural neutrals that were balanced by the warm mid tones found on western historic textiles or porcelain.
ICI paints had tied up with the Fashion Design Council of India to conduct a workshop on colour futures 2007. The interactive workshop, conducted by international experts, covered the art and science of colour, colour trends and ICI Dulex's unique colour visualisation tools for leading architects and interior designers.
