Hand-manufactured envelope developed by Pune engineer

Pune, Nov 28 (UNI) An city-based engineer has developed a hand-manufactured envelope, thereby economising paper wastage from 0.5 to 3 per cent.

Addressing a news conference here today, M M Bhuskute said the envelope is effective cost-wise and its manufacturing can generate employment to large number of people.

There is a criminal wastage of paper, ranging from 15 to 25 per cent, which is creating hazard to the environment, he said.

''If the government and other agencies can take to the hand- manufacured envelopes, it will have the global acceptance,'' Mr Bhuskute claimed.
