Ghisu Singh killed in police encounter

Badwani, MP, Nov 28 (UNI) A criminal, who looted Rs 17 lakh from a factory in Sendhwa town of Badwani in March, was killed in an encounter, police said today.

Inspector General of Police (Nimad range) Vipin Maheshwari said Rajasthan's Antalia village resident-Ganpat Singh alias Ghisu Singh was killed along with two persons in an encounter with Mumbai Police in Navi Mumbai on November 17.

Earlier, another accused in the same case, Jor Singh, had committed suicide before surrendering to police due to self-guilt.

Ghisu, Karnataka-resident Azad and Chennai-resident Jai Shankar alias Shankar looted Rs 17 lakh from a factory.

Jor Singh and two relatives of Ghisu Singh were also named accused by police for helping the robbers.

Barring Azad, all accused are in police custody.
