Former HPSSSB Chairman denies resignation under duress

Shimla, Nov 28 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board (HPSSSB) Chairman Tashi Dava today clarified that he had resigned from the post due to his personal family problems and not under any duress.

''I would like to clarify that I had resigned from the HPSSSB Chairman's post due to my personal problems,'' he said in a release here.

Mr Dava was reacting to news reports in a section of the press, which said that the state government had asked him to resign after irregularities in a competitive examination recently where candidates with odd numbers had been announced qualified.

News reports in a section of the press were uncalled and unwarranted, he added.
