FOKANA to cover Kerala

Kottayam, Nov 28 (UNI) Federation of Kerala Association in North America Inc (FOKANA) is extending its activities to Kerala.

Addressing a press conference here today, FOKANA President Sasidharan Nair and Secretary Aniyan George said various projects would be implemented in the state to express solidarity with the native place.

To co-ordinate the organisation's activities in the state, an office would be opened at Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow. State Forest Minister Binoy Viswam would inaugurate the office.

In central Travancore Airport area, housing scheme for financially weak families, financial aid to poor diabetic patients, a joint youth festival for the youth in Kerala and USA, award for first rank holders in Malayalam P G Degree from various Universities, a Delhi- based confederation for Pravasi Malayalees and Medical Tourism were among the projects under the consideration of the FOKANA, they added.
