Elephant tooth seized

Korba, Nov 28 (UNI) An elephant tooth, weighing 3.6-kg, has been seized from a person in Chhattisgarh's Korba district, police said today.

''On a tip-off that Suresh Bhonsle was trying to sell an elephant tooth, police sent a decoy to purchase the tooth,'' City Superintendent of Police Vedvrat Sirmaur said.

The tooth's length is 42 cm and its diameter is nine cm. The tooth, which is of superior quality, is estimated at Rs three lakh.
