Chappell should not have spoken against MPs: Sidhu
Jalandhar, Nov 28 (UNI) Cricketer turned politician and BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu today again defended Indian cricket team coach Greg Chappell against nationwide criticism but said that Chappell should not have spoken against the Parliamentarians.
Talking to reporters here, Sidhu said that Chappell was not responsible for the Team India's drubbings in South Africa in the current tour.
He said that this was not the first time that Indian team was defeated by South African and the people were unnecessarily making team's performance an issue of debate.
He said that victory or defeat was the part of the game and all should understand this spirit.
However, he did not like Chappell's retaliation against Indian MPs for their criticism of him in the Parliament. Sidhu said that Chappell should not have made such remarks against Indian parliamentarians.
