BSF seize four improvised pistols near Indo-Bengla Border

Bongaon, Nov 28 (UNI) Border Security Force today seized four improvised pistols, being smuggled to Bangladesh in a truck stranded at the Central warehouse terminal at Petrapol, close to the Indo-Bangladesh corridor near here in North 24 Parganas.

BSF said following a tip-off, they raided the CWC campus at Haridaspur and searched a truck laden with exportable tyres under which the arms were hidden.

After taking the truck driver in their custody, they later handed him over to police.

Police had also been trying to apprehend the owner of the truck and registered a case in this connection.

Arms were being sent from Metiabruz area in the city to Bangladesh, police suspected.
