Bomb hoax delays Sealdah bound exp train
Coochbehar, Nov 28 (UNI) A hoax call on the planting of a bomb inside a coach of Sealdah bound Teesta-Torsha express delayed for about an hour, the departure of the train this morning, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) officials said.
A phone call to railway officials at Alipurduar station in neighbouring Jaipaiguri district forced the railwaymen to call police and bomb squads, who made a through search of the coaches but found no explosives.
This delayed the departure of the 3142 Dn Teesta-Torsha train for an hour from its originating station, Alipurduar.
Last week a terrorist group detonated a powerful bomb at a local train at Belacoba station in Jalpaiguri in which eight people were killed and many inujred.
