Assistant supply officer sent to jail

Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) Special vigilance judge Munilal Paswan today sent assistant district supply officer of Banka Sushil Marandi to jail under judicial custody in connection with a bribery case till December 11.

During the day, Mr Marandi was produced before the judge by the officials of state vigilance investigation bureau following his arrest from Banka yesterday.

According to the charges, Mr Marandi was arrested by vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from an owner of public distribution shop for renewal of its license.
