Arunachal to review projects under Union Labour Ministry
Itanagar, Nov 28 (UNI) Arunachal will hold the first ever review meeting to monitor progress of various projects under Union Ministry of Labour and Employment in the North Eastern states, including Sikkim, on December one here.
Union Labour and Employment secretary K M Singh, along with six other senior departmental officials, would attend the function.
Senior officers from other NE states of Asom, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Sikkim would represent the respective states, according to official sources here today.
The host team Arunachal Pradesh would be represented by Industries Secretary A K Acharya, Labour Commissioner Ojing Darung, Secretary Labour, Trade and Commerce Huzar Lollen, Industries Director Goken Basar and Industries Joint Director Subu Tabin.
Sources informed that the mega meet would assess the progresses made in the implementation of establishment of new Industrial Training Institutes(ITI's) in the region, National Child Labour Project Schemes (NCLP) and other development schemes of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.
''The forum would discuss the Prime Minister's package to the NE states, particularly establishment of new and more ITI's and sponsoring assistance to youths and technical instructors of the institutes,'' sources informed.
Besides the meeting, the team would also call on the Governor and the Chief Minister, and visit the Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic College and the Yupia ITI for women, sources added.
