AP has potential for export: FAPCCI

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh has the potential for export in Small Scale Industrial products and units for manufacturing agricultural, bio-technology and IT sector requirements, according to FAPCCI President Sudhir Sanghi.

In his inaugural address at the seminar on ''Export Procedure and Documentation'' jointly organised by the FAPCCI and Export-Import Bank of India, Mr Sanghi said small and medium sector units manufacturing software equipments and cellphone components had opportunities for exports.

S Srinivas, Deputy General Manager Eximius Centre, Exim Bank, Bangalore, outlined the seminar theme, covering the RBI Foreign Exchange regulations, the role and functions of Exim Bank, Foreign Trade Policy and Export Incentive Schemes, Export Credit Insurance and risk coverage, among others.

Efforts were taken to build a strong knowledge-base to assist the potential clients of the Exim Bank in the agro-based units, he added.
