AP CM stresses on environmental protection

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today stressed the need for protecting the fragile environment. Inaugurating the National Green Corps Environmental Congress, he exhorted one and all to create environmental awareness.

Pollution of water, air and other natural resources was on the rise, especially in urban areas, he lamanted urging the people to segregate waste and generate wealth from it. Domestic waste could be used for generating biofertilisers, he added.

He lauded the school students for coming out with excellent exhibits to highlight the need for protecting the flora and fauna.
