ACB nabs Deputy Collector while accepting Rs 1 lakh bribe

Surat, Nov 28 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths today caught red-handed the Deputy Collector (stamp duty) in Surat district collectorate while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a builder.

ACB sources said B H Panchal had demanded the bribe from the builder for reducing the stamp duty. The builder informed the matter to them.

The ACB laid a trap and apprehended him when he was collecting the bribe amount, sources added.
