4100 hydrocele patients detected in MP

Bhopal, Nov 28 (UNI) Altogether 4100 hydrocele patients were detected during a survey in 11 of the 48 districts in Madhya Pradesh.

Keeping in view the large number of such patients, the state government has decided to perform hydrocele operation free of cost in district hospitals and community centres in 11 districts till December 15. The government will bear the transportation, operation and medical expenses of hydrocele patients undergoing operation, official sources said today.

The government has earmarked Rs 69 lakh for the treatment of hydrocele patients in Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Satna, Panna, Katni, Damoh, Chhindwara, Rewa, Sagar, Datia and Umaria districts.
