102 RRBs to join December 14 nationwide strike

Kolkata, Nov 28(UNI) All the 102 Regional Rural Banks with more than 14,500 branches across the country will remain closed on December 14 in response to the nationwide strike called by left trade unions to protest Central policies.

Announcing their decision to join the strike,All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association General Secretary Dilip Kumar Mukherjee said here today that a vast majority of 170,000 odd RRB employees were expected to join the strike,expressing solidarity with the Left Trade union bodies.

Incidentally,industrial and financial activities throughout the country are likely to be severely affected on December 14 in response to the one day strike called to protest the Centre's 'anti- people' policies.
