Patiala, Nov 27 (UNI) Wilkon Victor scored an authoritative century to put Delhi in a comfortable position against Kerala on the opening day of the C K Nayadu Trophy (Under-22) match here today at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.

Kerala won the toss and elected to field on a cloudy day which augured well for the new ball bowlers. But Delhi batsmen played with great confidence to put up 274 for six at draw of stumps.

Coming one down, Victor showed exemplary poise and grace, driving on the front foot both on the on and off side which was a treat to watch. His 118 contained eighteen fours and took 265 minutes to compile the ton in 202 balls.

Kerala's left arm medium fast bowler Prashant Parmeswaran was impressive, capturing 3 for 76, while Rohan Prem took 1 for 25.

At close of play, Manav Sharma was unbeaten on 58 and Abhishek Sharma was 17 not out when the umpires stopped the play due to bad light after Kerala had bowled 84.3 overs in the allotted 90 overs.
