Three police officials traffered with immediate effect

Mysore, Nov 27 (UNI) Three Police officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police have been transferred following complaints against them with regard to the Chanmedeswari constitutency byelection in Karnataka scheduled to be held on December 4.

According to official souerces Deputy Commissioner of Police K G Balakrishna, DSP Cheluvaraju and Assistant Sub-Inspector Krishna Gowda have been transferred with immediate effect.

The Director General of Police R Srikumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Karnataka Police Housing Corporation has been made In-charge of overseeing the security arrangements in the constituency.

It may be recalled that Election Commission had changed the Returning Officer Chikkathimmiah and appointed Mysore Urban Development Authority as Returning Officer for the high voltage byelection in which former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramiah is facing a ruling coalition JD(S)-BJP's joint candidate.
