Sugar prices ease on poor demand

Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) Sugar prices eased on poor deman today, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Sugar in small and medium grades fell by Rs foru and Rs three per quintal respectively on thin buying support.

Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades declined by Rs ten and rs five per quintal respectively on lack of fresh demand.

Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,701/1,752, Medium grade: Rs 1,737/1,792, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,675/1,700, Medium grade: Rs 1,705/1,735.
