Rupee opens high by 10 paise at 44.60/63/USD
Mumbai, Nov 27: The rupee today opened higher by ten paise and was quoted at Rs 44.60/63 against per US dollar as compared to its previous close of Rs 44.70/72 per USD, on sustained heavy selling of the dollar by foreign and nationalised bankers, dealers said.
Later, the domestic currency lowered at 44.74/76 during the mid-morning session, on account of short-covering by local dealers.
It is now trading again higher by seven paise at Rs 44.63/64 per USD from its previous close, due to increased buying of the dollar by foreign and local banks, traders said.
