Rotterdom launches MBA Programme

Bangalore, Nov 27: The Netherlands based Roterdom business School has opened its Centre here offering MBA Programme in India.

Speaking on the occasion, DBA Global Business School, Bangalore Chairman and CEO Dr S Mahalingam said that Education in India was witnessing a sea of change with the country marching towards meeting the global competition.

He said that in the country there are 1400 Business Schools producing about 15,000 MBA graduates but the demand was increasing manifold as multi-national companies were entering to take full advantage of technology developed in India and thus there was increase in demand for skilled Managers and MBA graduates.

"There is need for improved skill and the demand for Business Schools is increasing," he added.

He said that professors from Dutch institution would be visiting frequently and have interaction with the students during the course.

Learning Unbound, Bangalore Director Madhumita Saha in her welcome address said that Engineering skill in India was comparable to Russia and China put together, but what was needed was grooming them to meet the requirements of the present day demand.
