Right to Information cell launched
Mumbai, Nov 27: A 'Right to Information' cell was inaugurated by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Julio Ribeiro at Nana Chowk, in South Mumbai.
Speaking at the function yesterday, Mr Ribeiro said the Right to Information is a very important right to every citizen.
''This cell will help to mobilize public opinion and to raise awareness towards creating more transparent and efficient governance,'' he said.
The centre will also assist the people in filling up the application forms under RTI act 2005 and provide free literature.
The court fee stamps of Rs 10 will be available at the centre, he added.
