Qatar Airways to increase operations between India, Doha

Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) Qatar Airways today announced that this winter it would operate 12 additional non-stop flights between India and Qatar.

Mr Naveen Chawla, Area Manager (India) said this became possible due to India's temporary open-sky policy.

The total flights now from India to Doha on Qatar Airways would increase from 30 to 42.

He said the flights from Mumbai would be doubled from the existing one, while Hyderabad and Cochin would have four and five flights respectively. Delhi and Trivandrum would remain connected with a daily flight currently under operation.

Speaking about the other additions and upgraditions regarding Qatar Airways, Mr Chawla said a new airport terminal has been set up to accomodate smooth arrivals and departures of Asian Games particpants.

The airways also announced the opening of the world's only dedicated First and Business Class terminal at Doha International Airport, featuring a spa, jacuzzi, duty free business centre and dining restaurants for exclusive use of its First and Business class customers.

Qatar Airways also announced the launch of non-stop scheduled flights between Doha and New York, Bali, Ho Chi Minh, Dar E Salaam and Lagos, together with two points in Northern and Eastern Europe.

The airlines already operates a modern fleet of 51 all Airbus aircraft to 70 online destinations.
