NSCN (K) urges NGOs to oppose Indo-Myanmar talks
Kohima, Nov 27: The NSCN (K) has demanded rejection of the proposed India and Myammar meeting, scheduled to begin from today, to sort out a dispute of boundaries between the two countries.
Convenor of the Council of Kilonser (minister) A.Z.Jami, in a statement today said the Nagas were the worst affected following the arbitrary demarcation of the boundary by India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and U Nu of then Barmah in 1953.
He called upon the NGOs to raise strong objection to the the meeting. He said that the boudnry issues couod not be solved without the consent of the local people.
