No difference between NC and Hurriyat Conference : JK Congress

Kathua, Nov 27 (UNI) Criticising 'self-rule' and 'greater autonomy' the Jammu and Kashmir Congress today said there in no difference between in National Conference and the Hurriyat Conference.

Addressing a rally in Kathua, 70 km from Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed said the people who raising the slogan of self-rule and greater autonomy are following the foot step of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

''It is very unfortunate that the NC leader including its patron and president, are speaking the language of Syed Ali Shah Geelani,'' Mr Peerzad said.

Lauding the one year term of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad state congress chief said establishment of a modern system of education through an efficient policy, besides consolidation of infrastructure at all institutions is the ultimate objective of the present government.

Highlighting the importance of education, he said, reconciliation of infrastructure at every education institution both new and old is among first priorities of the government.

''Thousands of new schools have been opened and existing schools upgraded during last three years and now government has taken up the task of consolidation of infrastructure to facilitate effective functioning of these institutions,'' he said.
