'Minor' Maoist surrenders to AP police

Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 27 (UNI) A minor girl who joined the CPI (Maoist) Party today surrendered before District Superintendent of Police Nagi Reddy here.

Speaking to newsmen, Mr Reddy said Geeta alias Laxmi joined the CPI (Maoists) six months ago with the support of her father Satyam who was a sympathiser of the party.

A dalam member of the Maoist party, Geeta escaped from the goup last month and surrendered before the police.

The government would provide education facility to Geeta, Mr Reddy added.
