Mexico's President Fox faints at his ranch
MEXICO CITY, Nov 27: Mexican President Vicente Fox fainted on Sunday at his ranch and was taken by ambulance to his quarters, national daily Reforma reported.
Fox, whose six-year term ends next week, fell at an event in front of congressmen yesterday, the online version of the daily said, adding lawmakers had been told Fox was conscious and stable.
A government press official was unable to confirm the report.
Fox, 64, hands power to ruling party President-elect Felipe Calderon on December 1.
On Saturday, the president fell while at the ranch in Guanajuato state, causing pain in his back, Reforma said.
Fox underwent surgery for back problems in recent years.
