Hardwar, Nov 27 (UNI) Uttaranchal BJP chief Bhagat Singh Koshyari today assailed the stand of the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party on the issue of restoring Hardwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts of the state to Uttar Pradesh.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Koshyari said the two districts were intrinsic parts of Uttaranchal.

He stated that there was a general impression that the regional parties were being marginalised in the state in the coming assembly elections in Uttaranchal also the regional parties, which fared well in the districts of the plains in the last assembly elections, will fare poorly and the contest will be confined between the Congress and the BJP, he added.

Mr Koshyari also said the Congress government in the state had failed to deliver the goods.

''Corruption is rampant in every department, unemployment is rising due to financial mismanagement, the state is in the debt trap of Rs 15,000 crore and all sections of people are fed up with the present dispensation,'' he said.

He further added that winds of change were sweeping across the state and the party would dislodge the Congress government in the coming assembly elections.
