Huge haul of pirated Dhoom 2

Kolkata, Nov 27 (UNI) Police seized more than 1,000 pirated casettes of Abhishek-Aiswarya-Hrithik starrer ''Dhoom 2'' in a raid in the city's Chandni Chowk area today amid allegations of a deluge of CDs faking the Bollywood mega budget movie.

According to police, acting on a tip-off, raids were conducted on several shops in the Chandni market area in central Kolkata to seize the CDs. Similar raids were carried out at night at Egra in East Midnapore district.

However, alleging that police acted slow despite having received reports of stockpiling of the pirated CDs, Eastern India Motion Picuters Association (EIMPA) Vice-President Preetam Jalan said adding an estimated more than 100,000 such CDs were already in the market.
