Health camps in Gujarat schools from tomorrow
Ahmedabad, Nov 27 (UNI) The State Government will launch a drive from tomorrow wherein health check-ups will be conducted for the benefit of children upto fourteen years of age in primary schools and ''anganwadis''.
The health check-ups will be conducted at 36,000 primary schools and over 38,000 ''anganwadis'', an official release quoting Health Minister Ashok Bhatt said here today.
A similar exercise was undertaken last year and around sixteen lakh children were checked. It is proposed to examine one crore children this year during the period from November 28, 2006 to January 20, 2007, Mr Bhatt said.
