Godrej eyes 100 pc growth in realty business
New Delhi, Nov 27: The Godrej Group is targeting a 100 per cent growth in its realty business with the proposed development of over 20 million square feet area in different cities.
''The group will emerge as a big player in the real estate sector. The sector is growing at a 20 per cent rate and we will grow at a rate more than that. We will attain a 100 per cent growth in the next several years,'' Godrej Group Chairman Adi Godrej told reporters here.
He, however, did not divulge the investment and time frame figures.
Referring to the Bharti-Wal-Mart tie-up, Mr Godrej said the Indian retail market is large enough to absorb several players and the entry will not impact prices of products offered in the segment in any way.
