Folk art procession at Tirupati

Hyderabad, Nov 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Department of Culture would organise a 'Janapada Kala Jathara' (Folk art procession) at Tirupathi on November 29.

Department Director Rallabandi Kavitha Prasad told media here 800 artistes from all over the state with 30 art forms like Tappetagullu, Karrasamu, Kattisamu, Puliveshalu, Veeranatyan, Garagalu Samy Garidi and others would take part in the procession.

He said the main aim of the procession was to create awareness among the people on Indian culture and importance of Folk Arts.
