Cricket fans burn Chappell's effigy in Jalandhar

Jalandhar, Nov 27 (UNI) Cricket fans and activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today held demonstration and burnt Team India coach Greg Chappell's effigy in protest against the team's performance in the ongoing South Africa tour.

The demonstrators carried out a procession and reached the District Collectorate here to burn Chappell's effigy.

Besides the team's poor performance the demonstrators were also unhappy over chappell's remarks against Indian parliamentarians who had spoken against him last week.
