Child dead, four injured as school van hit by another

New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) One child was killed and four others were injured when the van ferrying them to school was hit by another vehicle at Keshav Puram in North West Delhi today.

The accident occurred when a van carrying students of a Central School in Keshav Puram was hit by a Tata Sumo when it took a turn towards Keshav Puram, police said.

The five children, all of them in the age group nine to 13 years, travelling in the van were injured in the accident.

The Sumo has been seized and hunt is on for the driver.

They were taken to Max hospital where one of them, Sunny, succumbed to his injuries.

The police have registered a case against the Sumo driver for causing death and injury due to rash and negligent driving.
