BJP to support women's reservation bill if tabled in parliement
Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today said that BJP will support the women's reservation bill if UPA government tables the same during the session.
Speaking at the women's rally organised by women's wing of the party here, Mr Singh said the bill could not get converted in law due to various reasons and added that BJP, the second single largest party in the Lok sabha, will support the bill if introduced.
Mr Singh also raised several issues like erosion of the strength of women in several states and asked the women to control the cases of female foeticide.
Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, speaking on the occasion, said with the increasing women participation, the party would get strengthened.
Later replying to questions by reporters, Mr Singh said the decision to include Mr Munde in party operations at the national level will be taken at a proper time.
It may be mentioned that Maharashtra BJP President Nitin Gadkari had said that the state unit wants that Mr Munde should take up the national responsibility and he would convey the feelings of the party to Mr Singh.
