Alert railwayman averts bomb disaster

Guwahati, Nov 27 (UNI) An alert railway keyman averted a possible accident when he detected a bag containing explosives on a track at Jago Road railway station near here this morning.

After seeing the bag, he immediately called up the station master to halt the train momvement on the track. He also called GRP officials, who with the help of the keyman, removed the bag from the tracks.

The bag had three pineapples, an orange, a mobile charger and a pouch containing explosives.

Later bomb disposal squad detonated the explosive.

Movement of trains was later restored.
