'Aaj Tak' judged best Hindi news channel

New Delhi, Nov 27: 'Aaj Tak' has been once again judged the best Hindi news channel at both the Indian Telly Awards and the Indian Television Academy Awards.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Aaj Tak has won the Hero Honda Indian Television Academy Award for the Best Hindi News Channel. It also won the prestigious Indian Telly Award for the fourth time.

''By winning both the awards, Aaj Tak has once again stamped its dominance in the Hindi news space in India. At a time when the news space in India is becoming increasingly cluttered, it has managed to differentiate itself in the mind-space of the viewer,'' the news channel said in a statement here today.

Speaking on the occasion, TV Today Chairman and Managing Director Aroon Purie said, ''It is a proud moment for Aaj Tak and the entire TV Today team. Winning one 'Best News Channel Award' is certainly satisfying, but winning two of them, so close together shows us the faith that viewers and the industry have reposed in us.
