150 Kilogram of dried Ganja seized, three arrested

Madikeri (Karnataka), Nov 27 (UNI) Kodagu police and Forest sleuths have seized 150 Kilograms of dried ganja worth lakhs of rupees in the market and arrested three people, all hailing from Andhra Pradesh, in this connection yesterday.

Police said today that, on getting a tip, a lorry was stopped at Sampaje gate and though, apparently it looked empty with only hay spread, a thorough search revealed stocking of 15 bags filled ganja in a secret opening.

The three inmates of the lorry, including the driver, tried to flee deserting the vehicle after seeing the police. However, they were nabbed.

The lorry was coming from Andhra Pradesh and was bound for Kasargod.
