Jammu, Nov 26 (UNI) Reminding industrialists of the symbiotic relation between them and the state, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said industrialists should provide employment to local youth in a big way in lieu of the huge incentives they receive and be partners in the development process.

Inaugurating a transformer manufacturing unit at Bari-Brahmana near here, Mr Azad asked the industrialists to be partners in the development of the state and not to have the solo motive of making fortunes.

He said the liberal and attractive industrial policy set in place by the government aims at providing vast field of activities for the investors on one hand and create ample opportunities of jobs and economic activities in the private sector in the state on the other hand. ''This aspect has to be accomplished in letter and spirit'', he stressed.

The Chief Minister told industrialists to prepare lists of manpower both skilled and unskilled, so that vast number of industrial training institutes functioning in the state produce relevant and qualified manpower to be utilised in the industrial sector.

Mr Azad also directed the State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO) to conduct a survey and find out how much local manpower has been engaged in the industries established in the state and which type of human resource is required to man different units.

''Jammu and Kashmir is second to none in extending hospitality to guests and industrialists of the country who have invested here are not only our dear brethren but respected guests. Reciprocating our love and facilities they should extend orbit of their activities to rural and far-off villages to help build industrial base in rural areas,'' he maintained.

Mr Azad said in industrial growth economic future of state is secure and technocrats, qualified, skilled and labour class have ample job opportunities in this sector.

''It is, as such, responsibility of all to help grow and promote industries and workmanship in the state. The state is abundant in high graded engineers, technicians and qualified youth to handle ventures of modern specifications,'' he said.
