Stunt pilot killed in practice run in Philippines
MANILA, Nov 26 (Reuters) A British stunt pilot and a Filipino aircraft mechanic were killed when their single-engine, two-seater plane crashed into the sea off the central Philippines, the coastguard said today.
Witnesses said Roy Bruce had been practicing aerobatic tricks and had looped and spiralled his small aircraft several times before it plunged into the waters off the central city of Cebu on Saturday killing him and Romy Otilla instantly.
Coast Guard District Commander Manolito Malig-on said both bodies had been recovered. Bruce, a licenced aerobatic pilot, had been living in the Philippines since 1988.
